Parker School Student Research Travel Grant Initiative: Small grants of up to $3000 to cover travel expenses for students to engage in hands-on research under the guidance of a Columbia Law School faculty member resulting in a written work.

Parker School: Student Research Travel Grant Initiative

  • Who is eligible:  Currently enrolled J.D. and L.L.M. students in good academic standing
  • What the grant covers: small grants of up to $3000 to cover travel expenses for students to engage in hands-on research under the guidance of a Columbia Law School faculty member resulting in a written work.
  • Nomination process: Students must be nominated by a current Columbia Law School faculty member who will serve as the project advisor for the student.  Faculty members must send nominations via email to Benjamin Liebman, Director of the Parker School.
  • Student requirements: Students must provide their nominating faculty advisor with a research statement and budget proposal. The project must result in a written work, completed under the supervision of a Columbia Law School faculty member.
  • Application timeline: Nominations are received on a rolling basis. Notifications of award will be made approximately 4 weeks after the application is received.
